Most people will know the Island for its music festival, The Isle Of Wight Festival was originally held from 1968 to 1970. The event was revived in 2002, and still takes place annually.
The Island is one of the few places in England that still has native red squirrels, seals and dolphins are regularly spotted on the coast.
The Isle Of Wight was also once home to Queen Victoria, her home still stands today, named Osborne House.
